OCEAN ISLE, N.C. — Shirley
G. Lee, 72, of 7173 Channel II SW, Ocean Isle, died at 1:45 a.m. Tuesday (Nov. 13
2007) at Marietta Nursing and Rehabilitation Center
following a long battle with lung problems.
She was born in Canton, Ohio,
on March 29, 1935, to the late Harry and Frances Foss Wallace. Shirley was a homemaker and housewife and a member of VFW Ladies
Auxiliary Post 5108 and Marietta Moose Lodge 1823, Women of the Moose, before moving to Ocean Isle, N.C.
She is survived
by two sons, John Lee of Shallotte, N.C., and Wilmer Lee and wife, Kyla, of Belpre, Ohio; one daughter, Jo Edwards and husband,
John, of Reno, Ohio; six grandchildren, Michael and Emily Buck, Brett Edwards, and Jarrett, Breanna and Tyler Lee; one great-grandson,
Chase Buck; three brothers, Lyle “Jocko” Wallace and wife, Marcy, Wilbur Schumacher and Bill Schumacher and wife,
Nancy; and one sister, Nell Harper.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wilmer Lee Sr., on May
2, 2000; and two brothers, Thomas and Conrad Wallace.
Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. Friday (Nov. 16, 2007)
at Hadley Funeral Home, Reno Chapel, 1021 Pike St. Family will receive friends for
two hours prior to the services from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
